The Brown Family

Welcome to our new family blog! It was a hard to decide if I should switch from the old website I used to journal but I figured the old website didn't offer many different backgrounds and this site might allow for me to be a little more creative. Plus, since Bossy is now a big boy I figured it would be okay to make it a family journal instead of just a baby journal. So, thank you to those who continue to read about our life!
The agenda for this week-end is Father's Day! I have been busy trying to make it personal for Alex. Brynly and I made him a "King Crown" that says, King Dada because that's what we call him. We also made a stepping stone with her handprint and Boston's footprint. Let me tell you that was very stressful. Pouring the concrete, washing them both off at the same time, painting it, etc. It was alot of work but something I'm sure we'll keep forever. We also got him a shirt and we got him a golf towel made with Brynly and Boston's picture on it.
We went to church tonight and Bossy cried and cried AGAIN! The church staff swears it's not a big deal, but I feel so bad. It's really tough because he is so attached to me. I keep telling Alex it's because I am with him all the time and he's just used to me. The teachers said, it's how 95% of boy babies are and that girl babies don't have as hard of a time. I believe it because Brynly was easy at adapting to other people. To this day, I don't think she even knows the meaning of a "stranger". She's always waving and saying "Hi" to people when we walk into school or she'll wave to everyone who drives by our house. I swear, she has lots of my Dad's personality in her. Her love of people, her love of having "stuff" (and if one thing is missing, she knows it), and her love for tools. It's so funny, she's a 5 year old girl and knows what a "socket" is. It's her favorite thing to play with. She pretends to fix her bike all the time. Boston's personality is well, maybe most like Alex. He's more laid back, doesn't like crowds, and doesn't like change much. He's very sweet and loves to cuddle. I think he even likes to cuddle more than Brynly does! Imagine that, a boy who cuddles and a girl who plays with tools and trains! Go figure!
